All games Friday Nov 9

Internationals

USA VS. RUSSIA  in Wales
6pm (local) kickoff 11.50 am here
Should be an interesting game.
USA have far more players plying their trade in good quality pro teams. Russia have 2 or 3 max with USA 10-12 at various levels of professionalism.
This should be a walkover for USA. USA are without the services of the great winger Z who is injured. But that shouldn't make a whole lot of difference because the USA coach is clueless on how to play an expansive game and thereby getting the ball to the wing. The last time I saw USA play, (Canada I think) they got the ball to Z twice if I remember.
Its impossible for USA to lose. However the way they play says they will win by maybe a couple of penalties. If the players revolted and dared to play to their strengths and run the ball, then they could win by 20
This game will be covered on Universal sports on TV in USA for those with Dish TV or Direct TV.

If I find anything closer to KO I will post.
I live in USA so I am keen they win.
Also Canada vs Samoa at 2pm Houston time.
Just had a chance to look at Samoa team sheet and all I can say is "bloody hell"
The Samoans have their best side I have ever seen. This makes sense as practically all the players are in the Northern Hemisphere pro leagues.
Canada, whilst very resilient and proud, will put up a good fight as they always do, but this is basically pros vs amateurs, as Canadians only have 2 players in the pro leagues.
Samoa to walk this game by 30 pts

French Top 14

Toulouse vs Montpellier    20:50 Toulouse by 5.
Montpellier have far fewer players called up for International duty than Toulouse. Could be close.

LV=Cup

Cardiff Blues vs Wasps    19:30  Wasps by 5
Saracens vs Leicester    19:45  Sarries by 2
Ospreys vs Gloucester    19:45  Gloucester by 2

Eureka...just watched USA play Russia and they were swinging the ball wide and they were even offloading the ball in the tackle. Brilliant.
They won 40-26
For a group of pros playing in good leagues, the USA team sure doesn't like to defend. They allowed Russians back into game after being some 25 pts ahead at one stage.
